Taking the car to Sweden
September 28, 2006

Remeber back in August, when I stuck my car on a trailer in Fremont, California?

Well...it finally arrived in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Re-united after 7 weeks :-)

First fill-up....bracing myself for a shocker....

Geeezzz!!
700 SEK - That's close to $100 !!

Unfortunately, I missed the 25°C summer heat (77°F) by just a few days...

The speed limit here is 110 km/h...better make sure to read the right scale!

Stopping by the scales...the exact weight is needed for registration.

Need to figure out how to get this stuff off...with a razor?

Back to the roots...back to the farm.

-Oh, and I mustn't forget to add anti-freeze before winter strikes!

To get it registered in Sweden, you have to pass the annual safety inspection. Lights, tires, brakes, smog, horn, chassis...nothing escapes their critical eye.

This is what I had to replace to pass in Sweden. Two lightbulbs!
