Manly Scenic Walkway
October 22, 2006

On what is to become a gorgeous Sunday, Christine, Scott and myself board a ferry to Manly.

An amusement park is tucked away by the Harbour Bridge.

These ferries never turn, they have two bows and just keep going back and forth...

Manly is a resort-like part of Sydney, hosting a magnificient beach, views, shopping and dining.

Once there, we team up with Annie, Robbie, Susan, Scotty, Laura and Brian...

...for a delicious champagne brunch!
Followed by more champagne, wine, and a bit of food, we are all set...

...for the Manly Scenic Walkway. Some 8 kilometers of waterfront trails leading to the Spit Bridge in Middle Harbour.

But before heading off, we check out Brian and Laura's apartment...that comes with a spectacular view:

We commence our walk in the late afternoon.

Through bush, across bridges, up steps.

Someone has walked on fresh pavement...

The Sydney skyline

I find a hole, probably drilled by a rolling rock over millions of years.

This little fellow says hi.

He's a big guy, a good 50 centimeters.

I'm happy to find Kaprifol (honeysuckle), the county flower of my roots in Bohuslän, Sweden.

Our way, from east to west.

A beach, just to ourselves...a dream?
