Christine's Acer laptop has died. The power jack seems broken...so I start by removing the keyboard.
...and then the top cover. Followed by pretty much everything else.
To keep those 45 screws in order, I kept taking photos as I was dissecting...
The culprit is found...
...to be completely loose! No solder left there.
An easy fix, though.
It's amazing how much you have to remove to get to this little thing.
