We sepnt a sunny day driving to Läckö Slott (castle).
Here starting with a quick picnic outside the main wall.
Audrey, me, dad, Björn
It was originally built in the 1050's, and rebuilt several times since.

I must admit that I am a bit fascinated by these old locks
looking down a water well shaft
They "drilled" by heating the rock with burning pig fat, then cracking it with cold water.
a tunnel leads from the well out to the sea, to escape intruders by boat
After several hours of guided tours inside the castle (sorry, no cameras allowed), we stop by nearby Stöten to buy some smoked fish for dinner.
