The Mt Diablo Cranium
March 7, 2004

A hot Sunday, like this one, we could not resist the Mt Diablo temptation.

It didn't come easy, this first climb of the season.

Christof reaching the top

Imola & Sandrine met up with us.

[Christof informs me that the view from up here is the second best view in the world. Only Killimanjaro has a better view, apparently!]

A guy at the top used a sun filtered telescope to check out sun spots.

Cool. It's the first time I see sun spots.

One of the best moments of the day was sitting down with a cold beer out back in Walnut Creek....enjoying the last few rays of sunshine.

Oh, and I love boiled soy beans!

Shortly thereafter, we were treated a very nice dinner!

A candle light dinner, even!

Barbeque pork ribs, with roasted potatoes, corn, and broccoli. Accompanied by a nice red wine from Wente.

What a feast!

Bon Apetit.

Oh - dessert!

Vanilla and chocolate ice cream, with nougats and chocolate crisps.

Next we go for a round of Cranium.

A good mix of charades...

Sandrine

There are hints...

...more charades...
(the impossible word to guess here is 'hypertext')

Looks like Christof & Sandrine just scored.

Why do my opponents always look like this when I'm acting...?

Looks like I clearly don't have a clue how to draw this one.

-See? It's the nose of a pig!

(Turns out I'm wrong. It's a gorilla.)

There's also playdo. Brings out the creative cat in anyone.

That's one heck of a nice Sunday. (Imola behind the camera)
