Tahoe boat trip
September 25, 2004

It's a hot afternoon in East Bay - 99°F. I jump into the car and head off to the sierras.

The way up along hwy 88 is a sure treat.

Short Message Service, now on trees.

There's a window into the creek a bit further down.

Studying some sort of snow fall scale, and snow melt gauge...

getting a bite at the Rockwater Bar & Grill

...while Hanna remains at home, designing her web pages.

Somewhat later, we head over to Shawna & Dave's. He's making pasta.

While the pasta sits for a while, we gear up and climb into their power boat.

-Say 'hi', Lukas.

Dave takes us straight out onto the deep, deep Lake Tahoe.

Shawna, Anthony

Andrew's having a good ol' time in the back.

Oh, and me too, I s'pose.

Deep inside Emerald's Bay, there's this tea house sitting on a rock. The rock's the only island in entire Lake Tahoe.

heading back out of the bay

Surrounded by 9000' peaks, boating on Lake Tahoe is quite breathtaking.

Dave finishes off his all-homemade pesto & mozarella lasagna, served with parmesan topped with 100 year old balsamic vinegar from Italy.

That, my friend, was a feast!
